Much love goes to Hunger for Knowledge for starting this, and all the others on my feed who have filled it out! I've had a blast getting to know you all better :).

 

 

1. Are you named after anyone?

 

Not in first name, my mom picked Jessica because it was unique (groan) at the time. Ha. My middle name though is my grandmother's first name. My sister's middle name is my other grandmother's first name :). It's a tradition.

 

2. When was the last time you cried?

 

At the end of NOS4A2 roughly two days ago. Yup, that book got me.

 

3. Do you have kids? 

 

Do my books count? No? Well, then the answer to that is no. They're not off the table, my hubby and I just want to have a bigger place to live first.

 

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

 

Heck yes! I totally amuse myself already. I mean, who appreciates my terrible jokes better than me? We'd be awesome.

 

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

 

For humor's sake, yes. But never ever in a mean way.

 

6. Will you ever bungee-jump?

 

I'm a wimp, so no. I do, however, absolutely want to go zip lining.

 

7. What’s your favorite cereal?

 

Oooh tough one. Life and Honey Bunches of Oats tie on that one!

 

8. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

 

Their smile. If you have a well-used smile, I'm hoping that means you have a good sense of humor too!

 

9. What is your eye colour?

 

Brown. Although interesting note about me, I have slightly larger than normal pupils. The bad news is that it makes my eyes a little extra sensitive to sunlight. The good news is that I perpetually look EXCITED! And... I probably am.

 

10. Scary movie or happy endings?

 

An equal amount of both. Yeah, that's a cop out answer, but it's also the truth! I can't do too much of one or the other, or they lose their shine. You need the sad/scary to appreciate the happy!

 

11. Favorite smells?

 

Rose, Meyer Lemon, and Lavendar

 

12. Summer or winter? 

 

Summer! Sunshine, ice cream, the beach. What's not to love?

 

13. Computer or television?

 

Absolutely computer. I love my internet hobbies and friends <3.

 

14. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?

 

Alas, not very far at all. I live in California and I've been as far as New Mexico.

 

15. Do you have any special talents?

 

I can knit and crochet quite well. I've also been told I'm a "child whisperer" because they just listen to me and quiet down. Lol.

 

16. Where were you born?

 

Here in California. Born and raised.

 

17. What are your hobbies?

 

A little of this, a little of that. I sew, knit, crochet, do puzzles, run a book blog, run a book club, play video games, and bake a lot.

 

18. Do you have any pets?

 

Sadly no. We live in an apartment where they aren't allowed. I'm determined to get a cat once we move though!

 

19. Favorite movie?

 

My favorite movie of all time, that I've seen more times than I can count, is The Emperor's New Groove. Yup, an animated movie. And I still laugh every time I watch it.

 

20. Do you have any siblings?

 

One brother, one sister. I'm the oldest though, and they better remember that.

 

21. What do you want to be when you grow up?

 

A teacher :). It's what I went to school for, but right now isn't the best time to teach in California. So, someday I'm hoping things will get better and I'll get to go back to working with kids. I miss it.
