I'm a bookworm of the highest caliber! If you see me, I'll probably be reading. There's nothing I love more than finding a good book, and then sharing it with the world!

All the FEELINGS!

Between Here and Forever - Elizabeth Scott

To take a break from endless review books, now and then I just walk into the library and grab a random book off the shelf. Of course I am partial to certain authors to pull me out of my reading slumps. Who isn't? I needed to experience all the feelings and so I grabbed an Elizabeth Scott book and started reading.

Lucky for me I hadn't read this one yet! I didn't even read the synopsis. Just cracked it open and experienced it for the first time.

I'll be the first to shout from the rooftops how much I totally adore Elizabeth Scott's writing. Even when I don't love her characters right away, I can see why she built them that way. She writes the parts of people that they don't even see inside themselves. The anger, the hate, the boiling disappointment that we all shove down to put a happy face on in front of the world. Scott isn't afraid to show that people have the power to love, and to loathe, in equal measures, and that sometimes there's a thin line between the two.

Anyway I'm rambling, and I haven't even gotten to the book yet have I? Suffice it to say this made me cry, laugh and smile. Abby made it so hard to love her. She was so twisted inside, so far hidden inside her ideas of what her big sister was like, that her prickly outside was hard to shove past. I still liked her. The more I read, the more I liked her. Then I loved her and she started to discover who she was. When she decided to be happy. Have I mentioned Elizabeth Scott takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions? She does.

If you're looking for a cathartic read, one with bittersweet scenes and the sort of characters you just want to hug, this is it. I'm still rambling and I know it, but I don't even care. Just read it, ok? Just read it.
