Jessica (HDB)

I'm a bookworm of the highest caliber! If you see me, I'll probably be reading. There's nothing I love more than finding a good book, and then sharing it with the world!

Bout of Books 13 Challenge #1 - Bookish Survey

This first Bout of Books 13 Challenge is hosted by Writing My Own Fairy Tale.

We've been asked to answer the following bookish survey questions! You know me, I'm a sucker for surveys. So, away we go!

1. How do you organize your shelves?

Well, if I'm being honest,my shelves aren't really that organized at all. Oh sure, I dream of beautifully organized shelves, by author or genre. It just hasn't become a reality since I'm limited to only two bookshelves in our current apartment. All of my series books are together though! So I suppose that's a start :).

2. What is one of your favorite book that’s not in one of your favorite genres?

We Should Hang Out Sometime by Josh Sundquist, hands down! I'm not a memoir reader at all, but his made me laugh out loud multiple times. His candidness, his humor, all it wrapped up into something I fell in love with. I highly recommend it!

3. What is the last 5 star book you read?

Valiant by Sarah McGuire takes that honor, and I'd give it 20 stars if I could. It's a beautiful fairy tale retelling, complete with a fiery and honest to goodness amazing female character. Read it!

4. What book are you most excited to read during the read-a-thon?

Since I'm planning on dedicating most of my time this week to reading, I can't wait to finally sit down and have the time to finish It. This read through has been intense, but also a pleasure. I'm falling in love with Stephen King all over again.

5. What book do you recommend the most?

Oh, wow. This is a tough one. There are so many books that I want to shout from the rooftops about! Since I have to pick one, I'll give my love to Red Rising by Pierce Brown. It absolutely impressed me when I read it this year, and I'm all for giving it my seal of approval :).
